shubil is the result of a complete disregard for the term "genre".

Since shubil's conception in 2008, the band has gone through multiple iterations. Starting off as a solo project under the name Heliocentric, it's apparent that the project only started picking up steam after the release of the Tribes EP.

The change in approach has allowed the band to successfully self-release an EP, a single, and their debut album "Patterns". Taking influences from world music, contemporary electronic music, indie pop, indie rock, and psychedelic rock, shubil aims for an amalgamation of styles, with no predetermined idea of where they might go.

The band is also involved in philanthropic work, as shown by the fact that all Bandcamp proceeds made from their debut album are donated to Doctors Without Borders.
